Originally from Waterloo, Ontario, Dr. Sidahmed received her Bachelor of Science with a major in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Waterloo in 2007 and earned her Doctorate of Optometry in 2011 from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry.
Dr. Sidahmed received training at the Eye Institute of Philadelphia where she completed advanced studies in paediatrics. At the Manchester VA and Baltimore VA medical centres she received extensive trained in ocular disease with a focus on glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetes and cataracts. Dr. Sidahmed also received training at Eye Doctors of Washington where she took part in providing primary care with a focus on Contact Lenses and pre-and-post operative care for cataract, LASIK and PRK patients.
During her pre-doctoral training, Dr. Sidahmed traveled to Belize to provide Optometric care in rural communities which included a paediatric population.
Dr. Sidahmed is fluent in English, Arabic and has a working knowledge in French. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, reading, and attending zumba classes.
